πŸ—ΊοΈ The 2026 Election Maps

How to read these maps β€” Before maps use blue for Democrats and red for Republicans. After maps use a rainbow diagonal stripe for Democrats and red for Republicans. States with a split Senate delegation show red-and-blue stripes before, and rainbow, black, and red stripes after.

U.S. House β€” Before the election

220 Republicans Β· 215 Democrats

House districts before the 2026 election: 220 Republican, 215 Democratic

Every congressional district as won in 2024, in blue and red.

U.S. House β€” After the election

262 Democrats Β· 173 Republicans

House districts after the 2026 election: 262 Democratic, 173 Republican

Rainbow stripes are Democratic districts, red is Republican. Districts not yet called are colored by whoever is currently leading the vote count β€” that's why this total runs ahead of the networks' called counts.

U.S. Senate β€” Before the election

53 Republicans Β· 45 Democrats Β· 2 independents

Senate delegations before the 2026 election: 53 Republican, 45 Democratic, 2 independents

Each state is colored by its full two-senator delegation. Striped states (Maine, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin) split one Democrat and one Republican. The two independents caucus with the Democrats.

U.S. Senate β€” After the election

56 Democratic-aligned Β· 44 Republicans

Senate delegations after the 2026 election: 56 Democratic-aligned, 44 Republican

Rainbow states have two Democratic-aligned senators; rainbow-black-red striped states are split delegations. This counts the two still-uncalled races (Alaska and Mississippi) by their current leaders β€” both would be Democratic flips.

Fine print, because honesty is part of the sunshine: results are current as of November 4, 2026, and several races remain uncalled β€” uncalled districts and states above are colored by their current vote leader, not a final call. Louisiana's 5th and 6th House districts head to a December 12 runoff. Alaska's Senate and governor races go through ranked-choice tabulation on November 18. And in states that redrew their maps for 2026, some district "flips" partly reflect new lines, not just voters changing sides.
